A crude looking [[Great Sickle (3.5e Equipment)|Great Sickle]] wielded used to slay undead who rise from their untended graves. It is designed to inflict gruesome bleeding wounds and mangle those it is used to slay. Both things were believed to significantly slow down the process of which the corpse would come back to unlife.  

This +1 [[SRD:Keen|Keen]] [[Great Sickle (3.5e Equipment)|Great Sickle]] inflict 2 points of [[Bleedout (3.5e Condition)|Bleed]] on every hit and deal damage as if it was one size category larger. It is also very effective against undead, both the bleed inflicted with this weapon effect corporeal undead who use half hit dice as their [[Constitution]] modifier and it can also be used to inflict critical hits on corporeal undead. The Gravetender's Sickle also leave the body of the creatures it is used to slay unsuitable to be raised or animated.

However the weapon is unwieldy, requiring a Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Gravetender's Sickle) to be used correctly. Even with proficiency the wielder take a cumulative -1 penalty to attack on each attack in a round after the first.
