Wartortles are larger than [[Squirtle (3.5e Monster)|Squirtles]], and they have distinctive, non-functional wings on the sides of their head. Wartortles are a darker blue than Squirtles are.

Wartortles and cliquish and mean. They treat newcomers with suspicion and derision. Wartortles are very difficult to reason with, interrupting sentences and mocking petitioners. Nevertheless, they are dedicated when working to put out fires, and have been known to allow their work to be financed by bizarre, high-interest credit schemes.
