|benefit= A loner ranger works alone without a companion. A loner ranger gains proficiency with medium armor that is made of hide or is chain mail and can use all ranger abilities in said medium armor.

The ranger now moves 15 feet faster then normal whether they are in light or the listed medium armor.

The ranger also gains intimidate as a class skill. 

At level 4 the ranger gains the self sufficient feat 

At level 12 the ranger gains [[Mobility, Balmz (3.5e Feat)|Mobility]] even if they do not meet the prerequisites.

At level 14 a ranger’s aptitude in their chosen combat style (archery or two-weapon combat) improves again. If they selected archery at 2nd level, they are treated as having the Greater Manyshot feat, even if they do not have the normal prerequisites for that feat. If the ranger selected two-weapon combat at 2nd level, they are treated as having the Two-Weapon Defense feat, even if they do not have the normal prerequisites for that feat.

As before, the benefits of the ranger’s chosen style apply only when they wear medium, light or no armor. They lose all benefits of the combat style when wearing non listed armor.

At level 16 the ranger may move through thorns, briars, and overgrown areas that are enchanted or magically manipulated to impede motion without taking damage or suffering any other impairment. They also no longer take penalties to move silently check when moving over noisy or very noisy surfaces.

At level 18 the ranger takes a –5 penalty (instead of the normal –10) when moving at up to twice normal speed while tracking.

At level 19 when moving at a speed greater than one-half but less than your normal speed, you  no longer take a –5 penalty to hide checks or move silently checks. When  attacking, running or charging you take a -10 penalty instead of –20 penalty to hide and move silently checks.
