Any weapon with this enhancement, and the Bane or Dread enhancement (required), has its effectiveness against its designated type of foe strengthened. When a weapon with the foe render enhancement is used to successfully attack its designated foe, that target’s armor class, SR, saving throws and any fast healing or regeneration are penalized by the total enhancement bonus of the weapon for the duration of the encounter; the effect applies only once per encounter per target (it doesn't stack). Bows, crossbows, and slings so crafted bestow the effect upon their ammunition.
