== Malefic Corpse ==

[[Summary::A Malefic Corpse is the corrupted body of a creature who rose from the dead, much like a zombie. Unlike their mindless brethren they retain all skills and abilities as they did in life.]] They are twisted and corrupted beyond repairs, delighting in inflicting suffering upon the living, even loved ones, and then devouring them. A Malefic Corpse look much like it did in life, it is mildly decayed and it eyes are inhabited with a dark orange light. They retain memories of their former selves, but barely speak and do not seek to pursue any social lives even among themselves.

The process of creating a Malefic Corpse is mostly a mystery. Certain very powerful necromantic effects can create them, but usually not under any sort of control. It is said that if a powerful creature is slain while under the effect of a strong curse that it will raise as a malefic corpse.

Unless the target live through the attempted devouring, the Malefic Corpse recover 2 hit point per HD of the devoured creature. A malefic Corpse require it bite feral strike in order to use devour.

* ''Hunger-Minded:'' While a Malefic Corpse retain it previous intelligence, it personality is warped beyond recognition. It is hostile to all living beings and act to kill and devour them at each opportunity. If within line of sight to a creature it recognize as living it must take action to directly harm and kill them. They act on this urge nearly mindlessly but use all their cunning and experience to do so. Even while controlled, they have 5% each day to break free from it controller.
