This variant of the [[Cartridge, Bullet (3.5e Equipment)|bullet]] is designed to expand when striking a soft target, dealing a more deadly hit without over-penetration. A hollow-point bullet deals +1 damage per dice. However it comes at the cost of long range accuracy, as the hollow tip of the bullet causes more drag, reducing the range increment of the weapon by 20%. Another disadvantage of the hollow-point is poor penetration, attack rolls made with hollow-point bullets take a -2 penalty against a target with an Armor Bonus to AC of 4 or higher, or Natural Armor Bonus to AC of 4 or higher.

The price listed is for a pack of 20.  Unlike arrows, it cannot be used as an improvised melee weapon, and is always destroyed when fired.
