A scythe whose blade is shaped like crescent moon, unlike it mundane counterpart is is built for the purpose of battle and not as a farming tool. A crescent scythe has reach, you can strike opponents 10 feet away with it, but you can’t use it against an adjacent foe. A crescent scythe can be used to make trip attacks. If you are tripped during your own trip attempt, you can drop the crescent scythe to avoid being tripped. 

A crescent scythe count as a [[SRD:Scythe|Scythe]] for any purpose such as feat, special abilities and such. The only exception in that they do not share proficiency.
