These katanas are made from an alloy discovered and which process is extremely protected by the master weapon smiths of the Hashimoto clan (''see Empire of the Rising Sun Campaign''). Known not only for there beautiful craftsmanship, one can see in the proper light the sword give off a blue glow from the elegant damascus of the blades, but also they're lightweight and have an unequaled ability to hold an hair-splitting edge. Hashimoto katanas weigh one half less than there counterparts and have a critical damage multiplier of x3 instead of x2 for most other katanas.  

The same rules apply for use as an exotic weapon or two-handed as a martial weapon.
