While under the effects of this spell the affected creature can change their effective height up to a maximum of 10 ft/level as a free action (max 200 ft).  This only makes them taller, not bigger, and does not change their reach.  However they can treat themselves at a higher elevation, such as attacking an opponent above them or grabbing the edge of a cliff.  While extended as such, they no longer threaten creatures below them and out of their reach (short of attacks which involve their feet).

You provoke attacks of opportunity for extending through threatened spaces, but may make a tumble check as normal with no loss in speed with a successful base tumble check.

While growth is vertical, a vertical creature can go prone to extend themselves across a chasm or other horizontal danger.
