This rare magical alchemical item is made from crushed toxic herbs, drops from an [[SRD:Unguent of Timelessness|unguent of timelessness]] and slivers of thinaun. The resulting poison is held in a vial, and and is known as pale tears. It was a powerful poison used for executions, and is known for its silver color. After being consumed, the poison becomes active and causes the drinker to be overcome by deathly chills and shivers. Pale tears is considered to be an ingested poison, but immunity to poison does not protect against its effects.

While the poison is active, the user suffers from a –2 penalty on both [[Strength]] and [[Dexterity]] for the next 24 hours. If this time passes without any significant injuries, then the poison will pass without any further harm. However if the user's hit points ever reach below her ECL, then the poison activates properly. The user immediately dies, their blood starts congealing and their body is overcome with rigor mortis in short order. 

For the next three days, the soul of the user does not pass to the afterlife, instead being trapped in the thinaun contained in the concoction. During that time the victim's body is preserved as per [[SRD:Gentle Repose|''gentle repose'']]. If within that time, a special [[Antidote (3.5e Equipment)|antidote]] (worth 500 gp) is administered to the corpse, the user is immediately revived as per [[SRD:Raise Dead|''raise dead'']]. The user incur no negative level or [[Constitution]] loss, but must otherwise meet all other prerequisites of [[SRD:Raise Dead|''raise dead'']].

Prerequisites: [[SRD:Craft Wondrous Item|Craft Wondrous Item]] or [[Brew Potion, Variant (3.5e Feat)|Brew Potion]]<sup>Variant</sup>, [[SRD:Gentle Repose|''gentle repose'']], the crafter must provide a drops from a dose of [[SRD:Unguent of Timelessness|unguent of timelessness]] (not included in the price).<br/>
