This spell works the same way as ''[[Publication:Dread Codex 2/New Spells/Ilnioth’s Mark of Life|ilnioth’s mark of life]]'', but it has longer duration and takes a longer time to cast. This spell has one more property that the ''mark of life'' spell does not: the power to tell the caster, or the marked, how the other one died.

The death is shown to the other person much like a dream, even if he is awake, which can be an odd experience if he is in a social gathering. This experience is only visual, and does not necessarily tell the other party where the death happened, unless they recognize the area.
