As an action one can speak a command to the rod and transform, swapping the users currently equipped weapons, armor, and clothing with the weapons, armor, items, and clothing currently stored within the rod's magical chambers.  The rod can have its contents discharged over the course of 1 minute, placing stored items in the nearest available empty space.  It can absorb new items into it over the course of 1 minute.  Once the rod contains equipment, it can be used to transform.

The transformation is bright and flashy, invoking disadvantage on any creature which would attack her until the beginning of her next turn.  Any weapons, armor, items, or clothing the user cannot wear (such as being in a different shape than intended) appear next to them in the nearest available space.  Any attunement can automatically switch to their new equipment loadout as a non-action twice (once for transforming, and once for reverting to their original loadout) and can be performed again after a short or long rest.

If the user is capable of casting spells or using items or abilities with a target of Self, and the effect costs an action to use, they may use said ability as part of the same action as invoking the rod of magical transformation.
