Originally designed as a fashion statement, sweater armor is essentially studded leather with built in leather hood or helmet and designed with baggy soft parts with harder reinforced spots.

Sweater armor consists of a soft baggy "sweater" with harder leather plates built around and in the visual form of plated armor from the top up.  It comes with a hood or leather helmet that can be closed with its visor to kept retain heat, shade from the sun, or obscure one's identity.  Optional straps secured or dislodged as a move action can ensure the visor or hood stays in place during rigorous movement or battle.  It counts as [[SRD:Cold Weather Outfit|cold weather gear]], and the headpiece may be enhanced as its own magical item.
