Speaker of the Suns was the title given to the ruler of the elven nation of Qualinesti. The title was meant to continue their heritage from the previous nation of Silvanesti but also to differ from it. To explain the title "Speaker of the Stars" was given to the rulers of that nation. Kith-Kanan was pronounced the first speaker of the stars by his people when he created this new nation after the Kinslayer Wars.
