Tavşan

A Frostfell Tavşan looking over a cliff edge, equipped with a spear about to jump attack whatever is below.

Timid and full of grace, tavşan originate from places where no other race would live. Places of beauty, deep within ancient forests or in the plains of the harsh tundra. Tavşan are free spirits and love to be surrounded by nature.

Physical Description

The tavşan have rabbit-like features, including long ears and supple limbs. They generally wear stilettos, possibly due to the shape of their feet, although there have been exceptions. Their trademark long ears grant them exceptionally good hearing, although they are said to have excellent senses overall. Tavşan have shades of brown or shades of white/silver hair, though those who choose to live outside their native lands in cities often color their hair in.

Male tavşan do exist, but female and male tavşan create separate settlements and only communicate with each other when necessary as the males are secretive and competitive for food and space, even with their own race.

Personality

Most tavşan live only with other tavşan, however there are few tavşan who live outside their native lands. Tavşan as a race tend to live secluded lives and often choose the path of loners or traveling in tight knit family units. They usually avoid contact with other races and this leads to them often being misunderstood by other races. When dealing with other races they tend to be introverts. If they learn another language it usually common, and even then it is only as a way of communicating with traders and fishermen. They are soft spoken and are hard to read due to their distrust of outsiders, regardless of the outsiders race. They are not a hostile race and have always kept to themselves when it comes to time of war.

Tavşan who choose to live with other races are doing so because they crave social interaction. These tavşan would be viewed as party animals. Most likely to be living in a large city, drawn to taverns and the promise of adventure. These tavşan crave attention so much that it also common to see them with dyed hair. Any color that is possible will do for these attention seekers. Red, green, blonde and even purple. These tavşan who live in densely populated areas are what bring people to tavşan homelands. False impressions of all tavşan being like those who wish to live a life of popularity rather then seclusion like most tavşan are the reason native tavşan dislike those who leave to live that life.

Meşe Tavşan

Meşe Tavşan paladin equipped with a greatsword.

Meşe tavşan have light brown or tan fur with light blonde or silvery hair. These tavşan live in the southern most part of Soguk, the Meşe forest. This lush coniferous forest is dense with tree and gives a false sense of what soguk is really like. Once you travel through the forest Soguk becomes a tundra wasteland covered in snow and harsh weather. The tavşan who live here have turned the lush forest into a weapon to use to thier advantage. They all learn to use the message cantrip to speak with animals, using them to get messages to those who hunt in the forest. Since these tavşan live closest to the the other races, and trade with them frequently, these tavşan are the ones who are most likely to leave soguk and live else where.

Frostfell Tavşan

Frostfell tavşan are the most common type of tavşan on Soğuk Island. They have light brown or tan fur covering their bodies and usually have silver or white hair. They have learned to live in the harsh tundra environment of Soğuk, making them skilled survivalists. Mixing their skills of polearms with the natural ability to jump makes these tavşan extremely deadly. Easily going unnoticed in the snow because of their light colored fur, ability to survive in cold weather, and training in their jump attack makes Frostfell tavşan the ideal traveling companions for anyone looking to set foot in Soğuk.
