The Vocwel only tolerate other races because they see themselves as Children. They attempt to guide other races towards total self-realization in the form of a lawful civilization. However, the Vocwel know that this final goal is not something that is achieved easily and a great many sacrifices must be made.

Other races look upon the Vocwel with suspicious eyes, for the vocwel can be brutal and unforgiving yet can be very intellectual. However, most Vocwel have an air of mystery about them, tending to be withdrawn about themselves among other races, making trusting alliances and friendships difficult.

The Vocwel are mistrusted outside their borders, the vocwel are downright feared. They do not appear like most humanoid creatures, and are sometimes mistaken for demon's and dragon's up to no good. Even when correctly identified, it does not help their situation much, as few are tolerant of the concept of an Vocwel bearing the appearance of a dragon or demon. Within their borders, they are seen as prophets and wisemen and more, blessed for their continued ability to serve Velkor.

Rewrite

Hello I am Rosemoon im going to be rewriting this to be helpful to much of this needs editing.

Personality

Vocwel are a race of personality having very similar exotic egos as that of a human but even so even more. Vocwel seem to differ off into ether more humanoid draconic or more humanoid devilish with a mix of both overall. Vocwel are always trying to outshow there own creations and are very crafty when come to fine arts, cloth and more. With this being said vocwel tend to be very cultural and very picky when it comes to none lawful situations.

Vocwel are a very lawful race and will not in any shape or form go against the laws they set for themselves or the laws of other areas.

Lands

Vocwel can live in any land, but originate from the Transitive Planes, and specifically populate Novera A temple of Velkor in the Astral planes.

Religion

With their great connection as a race, Vocwel praise their deity Velkor, whom they believe passed their mind and body on into their next lives. As such, each Vocwel has access to thousands of generations of wisdom and history and knowledge so long as they are able to use their wisdom to read into it and divine the answers they search for. Each Vocwel will go out of its way to help The Deity Velkor in any way.

Vocwel who do not worship Velkor are described as weak and outcasts for not taking in the power he has granted them.

Language

Vocwel have three humanoid vocal chords, and can simulate most forms of speech by vibrating their tongues. Their own language, Ravex, however is comprised mostly of Draconic chips and demonic slurs, humming, popping and whistling sounds.

Vocwel generally don't like to speak, but enjoy sign language. However, the unusual motions they due makes other races really uncomfortable, which might keep them in silence.

Names

The parent and the whole village gather in a séance. Together they focus and Choose a name from the form the baby eye's take. These names vary in meaning and significance, but all are key to the formation of the individual. These names could be a defining characteristic, a prophecy about the future. Whatever their name, it holds significance to their fate, the fates of those that they will one day meet and the fates of those who hear of them in stories.

Racial Traits

  • half Dragon, half devil (looks humanoid)
  • +1 Strength,+1 Wisdom,+1 Intelligence -3 charisma: Vocwel are more civilized than most races. They are stronger and wiser than their demonic/dragon appearance suggests yet they are not the most appealing race to look at.
  • Meager Subsistence (Ex): An vocwel may feed off of any organic or mineral material as food and does not need any amount of food and water per day that a human requires. A vocwel needs food at least once a year. See: Starvation and Thirst.
  • Hold Breath (Ex): An vocwel can hold its breath for a number of rounds equal to 2 × its Constitution score before it risks suffocation.
