Bleedout
Bleedout is the condition of losing a large amount of vital fluids suddenly, resulting in a nasty loss of life. It's typically associated with blood loss, but can represent any threat which builds up over time and has a sudden release. A creature struck by an effect which causes bleedout builds up "bleed". When their bleed equals or exceeds 3 + their Constitution modifier, they experience bleedout, which removes 20% of their maximum health all at once, and resets their amount of bleed back to 0.
Bleed naturally recovers at 1 point per round for most creatures. Creatures which can restore more than 1 ability damage after a night's rest can restore bleed faster by that amount. Effects which cure ability damage cure bleed by an equal amount.
Creatures which do not possess a Con score are immune to bleedout.
