|replaces=Spellcasting, Implements, Outside Contact
|benefit=A bloodbinder gain access to the following class features:

'''Armor Proficiency:''' A bloodbinder is proficient with all simple and martial weapons. Bloodbinders are also proficient with light armor and shields (except tower shields).
'''Spellcasting:''' A bloodbinder's spells are considered arcane spells, not psychic spells, and her spells use verbal and somatic components instead of thought and emotion components. A bloodbinder can cast occultist spells while wearing light armor and using a shield without incurring the normal arcane spell failure chance. Like any other arcane spellcaster, a bloodbinder wearing medium or heavy armor incurs a chance of arcane spell failure if the spell in question has a somatic component. A multiclass bloodbinder still incurs the normal arcane spell failure chance for arcane spells received from other classes.
This ability alters implement, but isn't incompatible with other archetypes which alters implement unless it also alters their form (such as the battle host, reliquarian or the silksworn).

'''Eschew Materials:''' A bloodbinder gains [https://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/eschew-materials/ Eschew Materials] as a bonus feat at 1st level.

This ability replaces the occultist's proficiency with medium and heavy armor.
'''Powerful Binding {{Ex}}:''' As long as an 8th level bloodbinder has at least 3 or more points of mental focus invested in an implement school, all occultist spells of that school that she cast of that school has its saving throw DC increases by 1. At 16th level, if the bloodbinder has invested at least 5 points, then the spell’s saving throw DC increases by 2 instead..
