|reason=While not the first feat on this wiki to give this benefit, it is the first to do so that builds off of only SRD material. This feat offers an excellent option to all melee characters that makes generally everyone look at it in a fond light, favored}}

|reason=It's a great option for strength based melee characters that helps keep their damage output relevant later in the game}}

|reason=An option that makes sword-and-board viable when compared with the ad nauseam greatsword wielders rampant in the current state of 3.5e. Still offering a benefit to that same archetype (and dual-wielders) gives the feat a more universal application than limiting it to just the shield bearers. It is also nice in that it allows for some degree of tactical versatility within a melee-oriented class in terms of armament selection, which is relatively minimal in many a campaign given the need for raw damage output}}

Strong Grip [Fighter] Prerequisites: Power Attack, Cleave, Str 15, BAB +6Benefit: If you are wielding a weapon in one of your hands and using it as a primary weapon (as opposed to an off-hand one), the weapon is considered to be wielded two-handed for all intents and purposes. Alternatively, if you wield a weapon in both hands you instead add double your Strength modifier to damage, rather than one-and-one-half. Normal: When wielding a weapon in one hand, you add your Strength modifier, and when you wield a weapon two-handed you only add one-and-one-half your Strength modifier to damage rolls.
