Mounts[edit]
I figured it would be useful to list the cost of all of the mounts you can buy in the SRD with their cost.
Market cost is the cost to buy it young + the training cost.

Costs of SRD Skeletons/Zombies[edit]
This table assumes that the spellcaster is the lowest level possible to cast Animate Dead and uses an Onyx of the exact value needed. It uses the Spellcasting and Services rules as a baseline.
Also, there is a second set of market values for undead created inside a Desecrated area. It is assumed that desecrate is cast by the same spellcaster as the animate dead spell.
Creature | Spellcasting Cost | Material Component Cost | Market Cost | Desecrate Cost | Bonus Hit Points (cast at an altar) | Desecrate Market Cost |

Suggested Costs for Animated Objects[edit]
The following table uses the costs for undead as a baseline for determining the cost for animated objects. Since animated objects come with different modifications (wheels, climb speed, constriction, etc.), each sized object comes with a cost per modification slot. Each ability takes up a certain number of modifications slots.
A large-sized cart, for example, has wheels and 5 hardness. This costs 15 modification slots (650 gold plus the cost of the cart).
Use this table to determine the number of modification slots an animated object has.
- 2 legs (+10ft. land speed) costs 2 modification slots
- Multiple legs (+20ft. land speed) costs 5 modification slots
- Wheels (+40ft. land speed) cost 10 modification slots
- A climb speed costs 3 modification slots
- A fly speed costs 5 modification slots
- The blind ability costs 2 modification slots
- The constrict ability costs 3 modification slots
- The trample ability is free (you have to pay for 10 hardness)
Animated Object | Market Cost | Modification Slot Cost |
---|---|---|
Tiny Object | 75 gp | 5 gp |
Small Object | 150 gp | 10 gp |
Medium Object | 250 gp | 15 gp |
Large Object | 350 gp | 20 gp |
Huge Object | 500 gp | 25 gp |
Gargantuan Object | 700 gp | 35 gp |
Colossal Object | 1,000 gp | 50 gp |
Note: you should add the cost of the actual item to the cost presented in this table
