Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Monsterslayer.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Monsterslayers are proficient with all simple and martial weapons. Monsterslayers are also proficient with light, medium and heavy armor, and with shields, including tower shields.

Dark Avenger (Ex): At 1st level, a monsterslayer may select a type of creature from among those given on Table: Dark Avenger. The monsterslayer gains a +2 bonus on Bluff, Listen, Sense Motive, Spot, and Survival checks when using these skills against creatures of this type. Likewise, he gets a +2 bonus on weapon damage rolls against such creatures.

At 5th level and every five levels thereafter (10th, 15th, and 20th level), this bonus increases by 2.

March for Revenge (Ex): A monsterslayer gains Track as a bonus feat and her speed is never slowed for wearing medium or heavy armor or when carrying a medium or heavy load (unlike other creatures, whose speed is reduced in such situations).

Secret of Steel (Ex): At 2nd level, a monsterslayer select one secret of steel from the list below. A monsterslayer can use any secret of steel she knows, She can only use secret of steel a number of times per battle equal to 3 + her Intelligence modifier (minimun 1).

At 6th level and every five levels thereafter (11th and 17th level) the monsterslayer picks a new secret of steel she knows and can use.

The Oath (Ex): At 2nd level, a monsterslayer gains the ability to call the slayers Oath on a monster that she have Dark Avenger bonus against, the oath must be from the Table: Slayers Oath

By using a Standard Actions to loudly proclaim a Oath from Table: Slayers Oath on a legal target that can hear her it takes effect.

The Oath is activ until the monsterslayer or the monster is dead, if the monsterslayer have to many oaths active she can't gain any more levels in monsterslayer, see Ex-Monsterslayers.

At 7th level the monsterslayer can call 2 different oaths on the same monster.

At 12th level the monsterslayer can call 3 different oaths on the same monster.

At 12th level the monsterslayer can call 4 different oaths on the same monster.

Oath Bonus
I will stand my ground! The Monsterslayer gets a bonus to resist Bull Rush, Disarm and Grapple attacks from the Oath target monster against her, the bonus is equal to half her level in monsterslayer.

The Oath target monster always provokes a attack of opportunity when it enter a threatened square of the monsterslayer.

You will not se me comming! The Monsterslayer gets a bonus to Move Silently and Hide when using the skills against the oath target monster, the bonus is equal to half her level in monsterslayer.

The monsterslayer also gains a special attack in any round the oath target monster is flat-footed she can expend two daily use of Secret of Steel and for one round any attack the slayer makes against the oath target monster she deals 1d6 extra damage per 2 levels she have in monsterslayer.

I will teach you pain and fear! The Monsterslayer gets a bonus to confirming critical hits against the oath target monster, the bonus is equal to half her level in monsterslayer.

Also when the monsterslayer deals damage to the oath target monster it must make a will save DC equal to the Damage dealt if it fails it becomes Shaken (If already Shaken by this ability the monster becomes Frightened) the effect last for 1 round.

We are destinied to fight! The Monsterslayer gets a bonus to Gather Information Skill and Survival when using the skills to find and track the oath target monster, the bonus is equal to half her level in monsterslayer.

Each night when the monsterslayer or the oath target monster goes to rest they must make a will save DC equal to the HD of the other + their Charisma modificer, if they fail the save they have nightmares about loosing the battle and do not regain HP or count as a full nights rest.

One of us is gonna die! Any round the monsterslayer start within 100ft of the oath target monster she get temporary hit points equal to half her level in monsterslayer these do not stack with other temporary hit and last for 1 round.

Any Damage the monsterslayer deals to the oath target monster can't be healed as long as the oath is active but any damage the oath target monster deals to the monsterslayer can't be healed as long as the oath is active.

Revelation (Ex): At 3rd level, a monsterslayer learns a revelation from among those given on Table: Revelation

At 8th level and every five levels thereafter (13th and 18th level) the monsterslayer gains a new Revelation from the table.

Training Gain a bonus feat the monsterslayer must still meet all prerequisites for a bonus feat. *This Revelation can be taken more than once.
Uncanny Dodge A Monsterslayer with this revelation can react to danger before her senses would normally allow her to do so. She retains her Dexterity bonus to AC (if any) even if she is caught flat-footed or struck by an invisible attacker. However, she still loses her Dexterity bonus to AC if immobilized.

If she already has uncanny dodge from a different class she automatically gains improved uncanny dodge (see here) instead.

Lightning Reflexes Gain the Lightning Reflexes Feat and change the reflex save of all monsterslayer levels from bad to good.
  • This Revelation requires the monsterslayer to have the uncanny dodge revelation before it can be chosen.
Evasion A monsterslayer with this revelation can avoid even magical and unusual attacks with great agility. If she makes a successful Reflex saving throw against an attack that normally deals half damage on a successful save, she instead takes no damage. A helpless monsterslayer does not gain the benefit of evasion. The monsterslayer can use this revelation in any armor.
  • This Revelation requires the monsterslayer to have the Lightning Reflexes revelation before it can be chosen.
Slayers will Monsterslayer becomes especially skilled at resisting mental attacks. She gains a +4 competence bonus on saving throws against all compulsions and mind-affecting effects. This ability is active even if the slayer is unconscious, stunned, or otherwise helpless.
Iron Will Gain the Iron Will Feat and change the will save of all monsterslayer levels from bad to good.
  • This Revelation requires the monsterslayer to have the slayers will revelation before it can be chosen.
Mettle A monsterslayer with this revelation can resist magical or unusual attacks with great willpower of fortitude. If she makes a successful Will or Fortitude save against an attack that normally would have a lesser effect on a successful save (such as a spell with a saving throw entry of Will half or Fortitude partial), she instead completely negates the effect. An unconscious monsterslayer does not gain the benefit of mettle.
  • This Revelation requires the monsterslayer to have the Iron Will revelation before it can be chosen.
General slayer studies The monsterslayer can use any Knowledge Skill even if shehave no ranks in it to gain information about any monster whose type is on the Table: Dark Avenger, she even get a bonus equal to half her level in monsterslayer to these Knowledge checks.
Extra slayer studies You can chose a second type of enemy from the Table: Dark Avenger you can use all your monsterslayer abilities against it but only count as half level to determine your bonuses.
True Slayer This extend her bonus from extra slayer studies to all creature types from Table: Dark Avenger except her primary enemy type.
  • This Revelation requires the monsterslayer to have the extra slayer studies revelation and general slayer studies revelation the before it can be chosen.

Courage (Ex): Beginning at 4th level, a monsterslayer is immune to fear (magical or otherwise).

Black Arrows (Ex): At 9th level the monsterslayer can use her Secret of Steel on ranged attacks.

Armor of the Gods (Ex): The monsterslayer can harvest any monsterparts of creatures she have Table: Dark Avenger bonus ageinst, a creature can be harvested for 100 GP per HD it haves. These parts the monsterslayer can use for crafting and counts as having any relavant crafting feat. They can only be used to craft items, armors, weapons and other that fufill one of the following three.

  • One is clearly stated mad of that creature, Ex: a Wyrmbone golem! (Dragon)
  • Two clearly uses powers or elements from the creature Ex: Eyes of Charming (Aberration (Beholder))
  • Tree Is special good at fighting the creature Ex: Light Mace of Disruption (Undead (Vampire))

The monsterslayer must pay any remaining GP and XP herself and follows normal crafting time, but any spells is removed from the prequist if at least half the total GP comes from the harvested pool.

The Warrior's Prayer (Ex): After having slayed a enemy who the monster slayer had a activ oath on, she can use a full round shouting out her deed an claiming that as long as she lives the enemy will not come back. If this ability is used the dead enemy can't be brought back in any way (no raise dead, resurection, being raised as undead not even wish or miracle can be used to bring the creature back) this effect is active as long as the monsterslayer lives.

Blood of My Enemies (Ex): When ever the monsterslayer kills a creature who is a bigger size catergori than her, she is healed up to full HP, all magical effects she wish is removed and all stat damage or drain is removed, the lastly she gains a full round of actions on top of what she have natural left.

Ex-Monsterslayers[edit]

A Monsterslayer who have as many active Oaths as her levels in Monsterslayer can't take any more levels in Monsterslayer before she have killed some of them so she have less active Oaths then her levels in monsterslayer.

Daily Life: There is not room for much normal life for a Monsterslayer, most of the time is traveling to the next monster, studing the next monster, fighting monsters, slaying monster, being celebrated a hero and sometimes grandet land, titels and marriage for it.

Notables: Buffy, Beowulf, Bowen, Hercules, Cadmus, Perseus, Ragnar Lodbrok, Maui, Thor and Gilgamesh.

Organizations: Monsterslayers can often work with other classes but their need to be the best at what they do often makes bad at working with other monsterslayers.

NPC Reactions: If unknown and untestet people wil often scorn a person calling herself a monsterslayer but if known for slaying deeds the monsterslayer will most often be meet with fear and awe and called upon when danger comes.

Characters with ranks in Knowledge History can research Monsterslayers to learn more about them. When a character makes a skill check, read or paraphrase the following, including information from lower DCs.
