The Gift Giver[edit]
In the far, far north; there is a legend of a saintly man who goes upon the world to give gifts to good boys and girls. He does this on a holiday in the winter. Many children children believe in him, and eagerly wait for this day. Most adults disregard him as a myth, however, some adults truly believe in him. You happen to be one of these believers, and the Holiday Saint has noticed your loyalty. He has offered to enter a pact with you, so joy and bonding can occur to the most coldest and darkest places of the world.
The Gift Giver Spells
Warlock Level | Spells |
1st | Detect Evil and Good, Sleep |
3rd | Knock, Silence |
5th | Beacon of Hope, Nondetection |
7th | Fabricate, Leomund's Secret Chest |
9th | Creation, Modify Memory |
Bonus Proficiencies[edit]
At 1st level, you gain proficiency in the insight and stealth skills.
Bonus Cantrips[edit]
Beginning at 1st level, you gain the Thaumaturgy and Guidance cantrips. They count as warlock cantrips for you, but they don’t count against your number of cantrips known.
Heart's Desire[edit]
Starting at 1st level, you gain an innate understanding of what a person's heart desires. Any creature you can see within 30 feet of you, you instantly know what it wants most. This can either be specific object (such as the Hand of Vecna) or a general category (such as a pony or a stiff drink).
Master Toymaker[edit]
When you reach 6th level, you gain proficiency in 3 sets of artisan tools. Additionally, you can create a common magic item once every 10 days. When you reach 10th level you can create an uncommon magic item, and at 14th level you can create a rare magic item.
Jolly Soul[edit]
Starting at 10th level, your soul has been infused with joyful energy, causing your body difficult to stop. You gain resistance to cold and necrotic damage, and immunity to exhaustion.
Holiday Miracle[edit]
Upon reaching 14th level you can use to power of hope to do the impossible. As an action, you can cast one spell that is 6th level or lower and has a casting time of 1 action. The spell can be from any class's spell list, and you don't need to meet the requirements in that spell, including costly components: the spell simply takes effect as part of this action.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish 1d4 long rests.
Optional Rule[edit]
This Warlock patron is intended to be used for campaigns in artic and tundra settings (specifically with holiday themes). However if this doesn't fit the theme for your campaign, please change the flavor and mechanics of it however you want. I would suggest flavoring the patron to be a monstrous, but benevolent entity that enjoys giving gifts and hope to small children.
Additional Rule[edit]
I meant to put this in the expanded spell table list, but it wouldn't add for some reason. At 17th level, you gain access to the Wish spell for your Mystic Arcanum feature.
