As the bandit felt the flame lick its skin, it run like a madman into its companions begging for help, unaware that it was dooming them too.

You may cast this spell in one of two ways:

  • targeting an area of 10 x 10 feet which immediately explodes into flames, making the ground burn for one round per casting modifier, with the fire increasing by one square every turn if there's flammable material adjacent to it. Creatures already in the area suffer 1d6 fire damage per caster level (max 5d6) and must make a Reflex save to avoid catching fire (as does every creature passing through or starting its turn in an area that is burning because of this spell). If they don't save successfully, creatures catch on fire, which burns for one round per casting modifier, and they set aflame the square they are standing in at the end of their turn, possibly jumpstarting the process all over again.
