Making a Monsterslayer

Monsterslayers are a hybrid between ranger and fighter.

Abilities: Strenght and or dexterity are often the primary ability of the slayer becaus it helps with hiting and dealing damage, inteligence help with slayer tricks and constitution helps the slayer survive.

Races: All humanoid races have slayers but they are more normal among the martial minded races.

Alignment: Any, Good alligned slayers use their abilities to protect and help were evil just do it for power, greed and bloodlust.

Starting Gold: 6d4 x 10 gp (avarage 150 gp)

Starting Age: "Moderate" "As fighter"

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the Monsterslayer.

Favored Enemy (Ex): At 1st level, a monsterslayer may select a type of creature from among those given on Table: Monsterslayer Favored Enemies. The monsterslayer gains a +2 bonus on Bluff, Listen, Sense Motive, Spot, and Survival checks when using these skills against creatures of this type. Likewise, he gets a +2 bonus on weapon damage rolls against such creatures.

At 5th level and every five levels thereafter (10th, 15th, and 20th level), this bonus increases by 2.

Ex-Monsterslayers

A Monsterslayer who have as many active Slayers Oaths as her levels in Monsterslayer can't take any more levels in Monsterslayer before she have killed some of them so she have less active Slayers Oaths then her levels in monsterslayer.

Daily Life: There is not room for much normal life for a Monsterslayer, most of the time is traveling to the next monster, studing the next monster, fighting monsters, slaying monster, being celebrated a hero and sometimes grandet land, titels and marriage for it.

Notables: Beowulf, Bowen, Hercules, Cadmus, Perseus, Ragnar Lodbrok, Maui, Thor and Gilgamesh.

Organizations: Monsterslayers can often work with other classes but their need to be the best at what they do often makes bad at working with other monsterslayers.

NPC Reactions: If unknown and untestet people wil often scorn a person calling herself a monsterslayer but if known for slaying deeds the monsterslayer will most often be meet with fear and awe and called upon when danger comes.

Monsterslayers Lore

Characters with ranks in Knowledge History can research Monsterslayers to learn more about them. When a character makes a skill check, read or paraphrase the following, including information from lower DCs.
