Ludroi that choose not to follow any specific path but still wish to advance their fishing techniques and combat abilities often choose this class, which allow them to enhance their natural abilities, making them similar to lutrinians, gaining vicious bite attacks and underwater combat abilities.

In ludros society they work as expert shellfishers are guardians.

Making a Ludros Piscator

Ludroi piscatores are specialized in underwater combat and fishing techniques. They work as flankers and ambushers that adopt guerrilla tactics and need the support of beefier companions or casters when their first attack isn't lethal for the prey.

Abilities: Strength, Dexterity and Constitution are all important for a piscator. Mental attributes may be relevant to different piscatores, depending on their preferred approach to situations.

Races: Only ludroi become piscatores.

Alignment: Any.

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the ludros piscator.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Ludroi piscatores gain proficiency in daggers, hunting knives, javelins, nets and shortspears, and in light armors, but not shields.

Bite Flurry (Ex):A 1st level ludros piscator can use its bite attack with swift efficiency, gaining an extra attack, at their highest bonus, when using a standard action to attack or a full-attack. All the attacks made until the next round have a -2 penalty. At 2nd level the penalty is reduced to -1 and at the 3rd level the piscator gains another extra attack, reducing the penalty to 0. This flurry counts as a monk's flurry of blows for the purpose of requirements and stacks with it, allowing even more extra attacks.

Improved Bite:A 1st level piscator's bite damage output increases by one step (usually to 1d6) and so does its critical range (usually from 20 to 19-20).

Underwater Tracking (Ex): At 1st level a piscator can use the Survival skill in water and underwater with no penalties.

Rapid Swimmer:At 2nd level a piscator's swim speed increases by 10 feet (3 meters) and it gains the Swim-By Attack^Sto feat for free.

Sudden Strike:A 2nd level piscator gains the ninja's^CAd class feature sudden strike, which allows it to deal +1d6 damage to flat-footed opponents and when making attacks of opportunity. The feature stacks with that from other sources.

Shellfisher (Ex):At 3rd level a piscator can hold its breath four times its normal limit, gains another +10 feet (3 meters) bonus to its swim speed and the scent ability out of 20 feet (6 meters), or 40 feet (12 meters) if in the water. It can take 10 to Survival checks to follow tracks in the water and for hunting underwater, even if stressed.
