Deathcult Reverend

A deathcult revered is solely dedicated to the power of death. Whether they are evil or not, they are focused on their philosophy. A good-aligned deathcult reverend typically follows a solemn deity of death, and make it their duty to follow the natural order. An evil-aligned deathcult reverend may be the minion of a reaper, God of undead or similar entities, hellbent on spreading death far and wide.

Class: Cleric

Level: 1st, 8th, 10th

Replaces: Domain (Altered), Domain abilities

Benefit: A deathcult reverend gain access to the following class features:

Acolyte of Death: A deathcult reverend must select the Death domain. Instead of having normal domain spells, she may select a single necromancy spell of the same level. She does not gain a second domain.

This ability alters the cleric's domain.

Death Channel (Su): A deathcult reverend channels negative energy, no matter her alignment. She may only use her channel ability to damage living creatures, but it deals 1d8 damage per 2 level instead of 1d6. At 1st level, she gains Channel Smite as a bonus feat. Whenever she casts a damage necromancy spell, she may expend a use of channel as a swift action made to cast the spell, if she does she adds twice the amount of channel energy dice she normally deal to the spell damage.

This ability replaces her death domain 1st level ability.

Necrotic Strike (Ex): A 8th level deathcult reverend deals an additional 1d8 negative damage with her melee attacks. This damage is negative energy, which does not heal creatures healed by negative energy, but does not harm them. At 14th level this additional damage increases to 2d8.

Soul Steal (Su): At 8th level, whenever a deathcult reverend successfully deals damage to a living creature with her death channel, she heals an amount equal to half the damage dice result. She heals an additional 1 point of damage per affected living creature, and 5 points for each slain living creature, up to a maximum hit point recovered equal to the full dice result.

This ability replaces the death domain's 8th level ability.

Agent of Inevitability (Ex): At 10th level, a deathcult reverend may deal full damage to a creature healed or unaffected by negative energy with her cleric spells and class features. When she uses death channel to damage creature, she may decide to include or exclude non-living creatures.
