One More Word on Economy[edit]

There is one lingering issue I see with the gold economy cap of 15,000 gold. The issue basically boils down to the fact that a 15,000 gold magic item that is use-activated can cast a 2nd level spell, at best. But if it is a single-use item, it can hold 9th-level spells, no sweat. And when you have the ability to get infinite amounts of an item, "single-use" has no meaning, because there is little functional difference between casting Time Stop from a magic rod, and casting Time Stop from a magic wafer, dropping the wafer, and then pulling out another one. So, as a revision to the Wish rules: if an item has a limited number of charges, uses, or uses within some given time frame, calculate the value of the item for the purposes of whether you can Wish for it or not as if it had unlimited uses.
