He appears as a lithe pangoloid with an eagle mask which covers his face. Large wings from the helmet form 'hair' behind him, and he is often depicted with his flute. He dresses in loose fitting clothes and has a jolly manner about him. He is also seen with his knife or greatsword. The stories tell of his magical size-changing blade and it is actually the same weapon in two different states.
His animal form is a golden eagle which shines like the sun.
DogmaEdit
Benu's followers are rather loosely tied and casual. As such he is one of the more popular gods for those who cannot dedicate themselves body and soul to religion. He is a jolly god, and favors bards, harmless pranks, and other means of amusement.
Clergy and TemplesEdit
Priests of Benu usually focus on his more serious, undead smiting side, protecting the living from those which refuse to die. His temples are built up high, and well lit with many windows and glassy surfaces to maximize the light inside. Often, they have doubled as lighthouses near shores, with a bright light source shining out from it's being.
