Give them the ol' hotfoot.
When you cast this spell, you can aim at one 5 ft square per 2 levels, as long as each square is adjacent to another. Creatures in these squares take 1d6 points of fire damage per level (maximum 8d6 at 8th), with a Reflex save for half. It leaves burning pools behind that last for 1 round/level which deal half its damage, or a quarter damage on a save for creatures passing through or ending their turns in the square. 15 points of cold damage in a square or complete submersion in water snuffs the burning pools out early.
Material Component: Ash and oil.
