It's like a slow motion train wreck.
The targeted vehicle experiences sudden structural failure, causing it to fall into two or more components leaving it unfit for use. In this case, a vehicle is any object desired to carry one or more creatures. On a failed save its components are disassembled into a pile, and in theory a craft check can reassemble it at 1/6th of its cost, or 1/4th of its cost if it were a magic item.
If the vehicle was in motion or use at the time, things become interesting. On a failed save, roll on the following table.
Die Result | Effect |
---|---|
1 | Vehicle falls apart, all creatures riding within appear in nearest valid space. |
2-3 | Vehicle falls apart, creatures thrown in random direction 1d4 x10 ft away dealing fall damage as appropriate, vehicle falls apart but parts able to be recovered. |
4-5 | Vehicle crashes, creatures thrown in random direction 1d10 x10 ft away dealing fall damage as appropriate, vehicle falls apart but parts able to be recovered. |
6-7 | Vehicle wrecks, creatures thrown in random direction 1d20 x10 ft away dealing fall damage as appropriate, vehicle destroyed and parts unable to be recovered. |
8 | Vehicle explodes violently, fireball centered on vehicle (no save), creatures thrown in random direction 1d20 x10 ft away dealing fall damage as appropriate, vehicle destroyed and parts unable to be recovered. |
If cast from a spell slot two levels higher, this spell effects one vehicle/level in range.
