1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.
An elephant gun is a high-caliber double-barrelled rifle designed to wound and kill large game. An elephant gun is typically lever or bolt-operated. An elephant gun has an ammunition capacity of cartridges, and is reloaded as a standard action (or a move action with the Rapid Reload feat). As a standard action, both barrels of the elephant gun may be fired at the same time. Doing so allows the wielder to make a single attack, dealing twice weapon damage. Any enhancement on the bullets stacks, using the higher enhancement bonus. Firing the elephant gun this way expends both bullets loaded into it.
Due to the extremely strong kickback, an elephant gun inflicts a –2 penalty to AC for 1 round to any non–proficient user who fires it.
The elephant gun cannot be fired one-handed.
