Head goddess of the Silver Elf pantheon.
"A warrior never gives up, not even at the moment they sacrifice themselves and everything they have ever done for the greater good. To die in battle as a last act of defiance is honor, and to honor your people is divinity, for your people, even when you exist no more, will honor you. So go forth, and show me that you are divinity."
OriginEdit
Syrali, the Silver Huntress, was a Silver Elf maiden who swore to defend her homeland with her life. She became a great war leader of her people, and reigned as their queen for over four hundred years. However, the Githyanki sent an assassin to kill the queen of their enemies, seeking to take their floating cities. in the aftermath, and the assassin succeeded, though only with his final action, as at the moment the queen died, silver fire ripped through his body and those of his bloodline, turning all of his living blood relatives to dust and even burning the lich-queen of the Githyanki, Vlaakith. This sparked a great enmity between the silver elves and the Githyanki; The Gith had only been previously interested in acquiring their land, but this event led the two races into a blood war in the realm of silver skies. So great was the anger of her people that their previous faith in her burned ever-greater, raising her slowly to god-hood. Since then, she has rewarded some of her particularly-gifted followers in death with the spark of godhood.
DescriptionEdit
Syrali appears as a tall and surprisingly muscular Silver Elf woman, with white hair, pale skin and blazing green eyes. She has small deer-like antlers, and she carries with her a composite longbow, and an Elven Thinblade. In life she was a Silver Elf Fighter 4/ Battlemage 16/Crusader 10/Arcane Archer 10.
DogmaEdit
Syrali teaches self-reliance, compassion and leadership, and that even as a leader, it is better to sacrifice yourself so that your allies can continue the mission than it is to let them die so that you can carry on; that the battle is more important than any personal victory. She encourages those who serve her to dabble and experience, because you never know what may be helpful later, or when your life or capability will be snatched away from you, leaving you wishing you couldn't done things you didn't do. She grants more power to those of her followers who are self-made and accept little help unless it is needed, helping others whenever they can, than she grants to those who praise her with every breath.
Clergy and TemplesEdit
Many of Syrali's clerics are also warriors, and she has many crusaders, paladins, ardents, rangers, and monks among her clergy. She also attracts many who dabble in the arcane; Thus Wizards, Sorcerers, and, interestingly, Warlocks and Wu Jen, can also commonly be found among her followers. Her followers keep small and artful but fortified churches, usually made of marble, with an open, leisurely roofed area (With intricate columns holding up the roof) around a central armored chapel. Most of these are located high in the mountains; And some are even enchanted stone by stone as they are built so that in the end, the church is floating in the air in an echo of the ancient floating cities.
Interestingly, many of her followers are Githzerai, sharing in their racial hatred, as well as because of her husband, Vestikar, being Githzerai when he was a mortal. Among her followers lies the Order Of The Hunter's Moon; Monks and Paladins of her order may multiclass freely as Wu Jen, Rangers, Crusaders, Wizards, Sorcerers, Ardents, and Ki Archers, as well as between Monk and Paladin themselves.
PantheonEdit
Syrali is the head goddess of the pantheon of the Silver Elves, and with the exception of Alhura, she gets along with them very well. Vestikar, the Masked one, is her consort, and their daughter is Cyliira.
She has good relations with Corellon Larethian and Ehlonna, with enmity towards Vecna and Hextor, and in the Forgotten Realms she's also of good relation with Meilikki, Eilistraee, Mystra and Selune, and has enmity towards Shar, Lolth and Bane.
