The possessed cross bow is a +2 raw forged ghost touched deadwood shotbow treated with the steelwood enhancement. The weapon bronze plating feel unusually warm on touch and on close inspection is etched with fading runes. As a full-round action the wielder can call upon the crossbow's latent power and unleash a wave of dark ghostly energy, this deal damage as the crossbow normal damage plus an additional 1d6 pure magical damage per point of the wielder's base attack bonus. The special attack does not expend ammunition.
