All damage you inflict from any source is converted to vile damage. All damage from weapon attacks is increased by 2 die (for instance, from 1d10 to 3d10), and your critical multiplier is increased by 1. You regain hp equal to ¼ of the damage you inflict with any weapon attack other than a sacrifice or dark blow. Any creature that you kill while this sacrifice is active is utterly impossible to revive, even with wish or miracle, as you consume its soul and destroy it to feed yourself and your Gate. Consuming a soul in this fashion restores hp to you equal to the victim's CR × 10 and doubles the amount of EXP that you earn. However, you do not gain this benefit if you kill a foe that does not have a soul (such as most constructs) or whose soul is not inside its body (such as a lich). In the latter case, you do gain the benefit if you destroy the container holding the soul. If you kill a creature inhabited by a soul that is not its own (such as a victim of a magic jar), you consume the soul of the possessing creature instead of the soul of the creature you felled, instantly killing the possessing creature and preventing it from being revived; the soul of the killed creature goes on to the afterlife as normal, and can be revived.
For all of the fearsome power this sacrifice grants, it does have a heavy cost. While this sacrifice is active, your AC is reduced by 4 and you have damage susceptibility 3/not self-inflicted. Your Constitution is also reduced by 2 points, to a minimum of 1. This effect remains active until you dismiss it.
Maximum HP Penalty: −40.
