Superior DR/magic[edit]

Damage reduction/magic is the most useless of all damage reduction types. This is a buff to DR/magic by requiring a minimum enhancement bonus to bypass, much like 3.0e. The base DR/magic is in effect DR/+1, requiring a +1 enhancement bonus to bypass. Special abilities on a weapon do not add to this requirement.

The enhancement bonus needed to bypass DR magic is equal to 1/4th your effective character level (or CR for monsters, minimum 1). Thus it is DR/+1, DR/+2 at 8th, DR/+3 at 12th, DR/+4 at 16th, and DR/+5 at 20th, maximum +5.
