1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.
The burstfire pistol is a variant of the Handgun being heavier with an extended magazine and greater recoil. It has the same statistic as a Handgun except of what is noted above and below, it can hold up to 12 bullets. Unlike the handgun, it cannot be used as a martial weapon. A character wielder a burstfire pistol may use the following weapon art:
Burst Fire: With an standard action you fire a short burst of shots. You consume 2 shots, dealing 2d6 damages (for medium creatures). For each additional attack you would be granted from a high BAB or an extra attack such as from haste, you expend another bullet and gain another +1d6 damage. For example with BAB +11 and haste (4 attacks) you would deal 6d6 plus Dex in damage, expending 6 bullets. Burst Fire is good for bypassing damage reduction.
A Burstfire Pistol count as a Handgun for the purpose of feats such as Weapon Focus and class features. A character with exotic proficiency with one is proficient with the other.
