Maestro
A maestro is a wizard who specialized in the art of conducting, casting spells like a mundane maestro would conduct an orchestra. Many mestro are also Bookish Wizard reading their spellbook like sheet music.
Class: Pathfinder Wizard
Level: 1st
Replaces: Spellcasting, Arcane Bond, Arcane School
Benefit: A maestro receive the following class features:
Spellcasting: A maestro cast just as a wizard does, except that she is also able to add spells from the bard spell list to her spellbook and cast them. If a spell appears on both spell lists, use the one who has a lower level. Her spells always require somatic components. A maestro cannot choose evocation as a prohibited school.
Arcane Bond: A maestro must choose the bonded object arcane bond and must choose a conducting baton (a wand) as their bonded object. A hand holding a maestro's conducting baton counts as a free hand for the purpose of making somatic components.
Orchestral Focus (Ex): A maestro is an expert at using sound-based magic, she adds +1 to the DC of any spell she cast with the [Sonic] descriptor. At 11th level this bonus increases by an additional +1. At 20th level any [Sonic] spells she cast is automatically Empowered as per the Empower Spell metamagic feat.
Conducting Magic (Ex): A maestro of 5th level or higher is able to maintain concentration on spells as a move action. While doing so she is able to cast other spells. She may only ever concentrate on a single spell at any given time however.
