3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.
A large, military heavy mace which with particularly large flanges on the head. The interior of the head is outfitted with gnomish hydraulic in the head which allow the flanges to be punched out for extra punch. The hydraulic can be activated and retracted with a trigger on the hilt. The mace itself is heavy and require a Strength 14 otherwise the wielder take a -1 penalty to attack roll and AC unless it is wielded in two-hands. As the Military Heavy Mace, you ignore up to 1 point of armor bonus to AC on your target for each attack you would gain from BAB (to a maximum of 4 AC at BAB +16 and beyond)
A wielder with the appropriated exotic weapon proficiency is able to activate the hydraulic mace as a swift action, dealing an additional 1d12 damage on impact (for medium hydraulic mace) and a 20/x4 critical hit range on the following attack within 1 round. However after doing so the flanges must be retracted back into the head, which require a swift action as well, all attacks made with the extended flanges have a 20/x4 critical but suffer a -2 penalty to attack roll. A non-proficient user may also do so, but suffer an additional -2 penalty to attack and it require a move action rather than swift for both prepping and retracting the flanges.
An Hydraulic Mace count as a Heavy Mace. This allow it to benefits from feat and ability which benefit those weapon, proficiency between those weapons however are not shared.
