Creating a Druid

[1] Class Group: Priests
Primary Ability: Wisdom
To create a Druid, consult the following lists, which provide Hit Points, Proficiencies, and Armor Training. If you’re making a 1st-level character, also consult the “Starting Equipment” section, and if you’re using the multiclassing rules, see the “Multiclassing and the Druid” section.

Then look at the Druid table to see the Class Features you get at each level in this Class. The descriptions of those features appear in the “Druid Class Features” section.

Hit Points

Hit Dice: 1d8 per Druid level
Hit Points at 1st Level: 8 + your Constitution modifier
Hit Points per Level after 1st: 1d8 (or 5) + your Constitution modifier

Proficiencies

Saving Throws: Intelligence, Wisdom.
Skills: Choose 2 from Arcana, Animal Handling, Insight, Medicine, Nature, Perception, Religion, and Survival).
Weapons: Simple Weapons
Tools: Herbalism Kit

Armor Training

Light Armor, Shields

Starting Equipment

As a 1st-level character, you start with the following equipment, or you can forgo it and spend 50 GP on equipment of your choice. Druidic Focus (Quarterstaff), Explorer's Pack, Hervalism Kit, Leather Armor, Shield, Sickle, 9 GP

Multiclassing and the Druid

If your group uses the multiclassing rules in the Player's Handbook, here’s what you need to know if you choose Druid as one of your Classes.
  Ability Score Minimum. 13 Wisdom
  Proficiencies.
  Armor Training. Armor Training — Light Armor and Shields.
  Spell Slots. Add Druid levels

Channel Nature

Summary: You pull power from nature that allows you to:

Wild Shape. Summary: You can take on the form of an animal. The types of animals increases as you gain levels.

Design Note: Uses of Channel Divine/Nature

[1] Summary: The Channel Divinity of the Cleric from UA 2022 Cleric and Revised Species was deemed overpowered when multiclassing. The Druid and Paladin uses in UA 2023 Druid and Paladin has the number of uses reduced. Future itenerations of the Cleric will have the uses similarly reduced.

Summary: Gain the secret language "Druidic"

Spellcasting

Summary: Gain the ability to cast Primal Spells, using Wisdom as your spellcasting ability. May use a druidic focus as a spellcasting focus.

Nature's Aid

2nd Level
Summary: Gain new ways to use Channel Nature"

Healing Blossoms. Summary: Manifest flowers in a an area, healing creatures you choose within it.
Wild Companion. Summary: Can cast Find Familiar, without spending a spell slot, to summon a Fey familiar for period of time.

Druid Subclass

3rd Level (features at 3rd, 6th, 10th, 14th)
Summary: You gain a Druid subclass.

Summary: Wild Shape improves gaining the ability to choose a Tiny shape for a shorter period of time.

Alternating Forms

13th Level
Summary: Wild Shape improves gaining the ability to use a Template:One Bonus Actionn} to revert to your true form for a short time and then back to the chosen wild shape, without expending a use of wild shape.

Wild Resurgence

15th Level
Summary: As part of using Wild Shape you also manifest Healing Blossoms.

Beast Spells

17th Level
Summary: You can cast spells while in Wild Shape.

Archdruid

18th Level
Summary: Regain one use of Channel Nature when you roll Initiative. Also you age slowly.

Epic Boon

20th Level
You gain the following benefits:

Ability Score Increase. Summary: Extra powerful use of Ability Score Increase.
Epic Boon Feat. Summary: Gain Epic Boon of Spell Recall (or another Epic Boon feat).

Design Note: Epic Boon Feature

[1] Summary: Epic Boons were determined to be underpowered. The epic boons for Druid and Paladin more powerful and adds Ability Score Increase. Epic boons for other classes will be revised similarly.
