Cairnsinger

A necromantic bard that specializes in summoning undeads under her control. These miscreants use necromantic energy-charged music to control and bolster undead under their control. Fully compatible with both 3.5e and Pathfinder, recommended to be used alongside the Dirge bard for the latter.

Class: Bard

Level: 1st, 5th

Replaces: Spell List, Inspire Courage, Inspire Competence and Inspire Heroics

Benefit: A cairnsinger gain the following class features:

Bardic Music/Performance: A cairnsinger gain the following bardic music/performance:

Requiem of Servitude (Su): This performance behaves as the Necromantic Servant focus power of an occultist of your level, except that the servant remains as long as the cairnsinger continue the performance. At 5th level, whenever the necromantic servant would be destroyed, if you are within medium range (100 feet + 10 feet per level) of the servant, you can expend 1 round of bardic music as an immediate action to cause the servant to return to full hit points.

While using requiem of servitude, all undead under the cairnsinger’s control that can perceive her gain a +1 competence bonus to attack roll and damage roll. At 5th level, and every six bard levels thereafter, this bonus increases by +1, to a maximum of +4 at 17th level.

This ability replaces inspire courage.

Elegy of Warding (Su): As long as a 3rd level cairnsinger maintain this performance, her and all allies who can perceive her are under the effect of hide from undead and gain a +4 bonus on saving throws against the spell-like and supernatural of undead.

This ability replaces inspire competence.

Dirge of Awakening (Su): A 15th level, when she starts performing this song, the cairnsinger chooses a single dead creature within 60 feet whose has no more HD is now higher than twice the cairnsinger's level. The target is immediately raised with the zombified condition under the control of the dirgesinger. The target is raised with half of its maximum hit points and remains in existence for as long as the dirgesinger performs. As a move action, a cairsinger may have the target perform any actions it was capable of in life during it turns, ignoring the typical limitations of the zombified condition. If the target is destroyed, or the dirgesinger ceases performing, it cannot be reanimated with song of awakening again.

This ability replaces inspire heroics.

Necromantic Magic: A cairnsinger adds the animate dead, corpse puppet, create undead and summon undead (I-V) to her spell list at the same level that they appear on the cleric spell list.

However they do not have the summon monster (I-VI) spells on her spell list.

This ability alters the bard's spell list.
