When this bell is rung it is the only thing audible within a 40 ft radius circle centered on the bell. Treat this as silence with a duration of 1d4 rounds centered on the bell itself. The bell must recharge for 1 minute before being rung again.
1/day when rung, you may also choose to grant those within its area of effect an additional save against any language-dependent or sonic effect they are currently afflicted by, or against compulsion whose orders were delivered verbally.
It can be rung as a normal bell by simply not activating its magical effect.
