The caster's mouth opened, but the sound that erupted was certainly no humanoid.
With a loud cry you release a roar that shakes weak enemies to the core and could potentially drive stronger foes into a more passive state. Creatures with HD equal or less to your CL take 1 sonic damage per level (no save) and creatures are At Bay from you for 1 round/level on a failed save, or 1 round on a successful save. Creatures with more HD are At Bay for 1 round on a failed save, or negates the At Bay effect on a successful save. If you exceed the creature's HD by 6 or more (1 HD at 7th, maximum 4 HD at CL 10th), they must make an additional save after a failed save or fall unconscious for the duration from fright.
This counts as a dragon's frightful presence, and does not function against dragons. The sonic damage lacks the fear and mind-affecting tags.
It's range depends on its casting time. If cast as a swift action it is a 15 ft cone. As a standard action it is a 30 ft cone. As a full round action it is a 60 ft cone or a 30 ft radius centered on you.
Ally creatures of the Dragon type are inspired by your loud roar, and get a +2 morale bonus on attack, damage, saves, skills, and ability checks for 1d4+1 rounds. They do not take the sonic damage.
