Inspired Technician
An inspired technician is a investigator with proficiency with technological items, often acting as battlefield engineering or field scientist. They are not trap-warry like most of their peers, and many of them eschew melee combat completely.

Level: 1st, 4th
Replaces: Armor & Weapon Proficiency, Inspiration (Altered), Trapfinding, Studied Combat (Altered), Studied Strike (Altered)
Benefit: An inspired technician gains the following class feature:
Weapon Proficiency: Inspired technicians are proficient with simple weapons, plus the all light and one-handed firearms. They are proficient in light armors, but not shields.
This replaces the normal investigator proficiencies.
Inspired Technologist: A 1st level inspired technician gains the Technologist feat as a bonus feat. She may use inspiration on any checks covered by the technologist feat without spending inspiration.
Mechanical Inspiration (Ex): At 1st level, an inspired technician can use inspiration to apply a bonus to Appraise, Disable Device, and Knowledge (engineering) checks without expending a use of inspiration, but she must spend a use of inspiration to apply a bonus on Knowledge, Linguistics, and Spellcraft checks.
Additionally the inspired technician may spend 1 point of inspiration to remove the broken condition on any firearm she is using, as per the quick clear deed.
This ability modifies inspiration. Despite modifying the same class feature, the inspired technician archetype is compatible with the scavenger archetype.
Studied Marksmanship (Ex): A 4th level inspired technician applies her studied combat and studied strike to ranged attack made within 30 ft with a light or one-handed ranged weapon as well as with melee attacks.
This ability alters both studied combat and studied strike.
