This +1 short staff is made of metal which was scorched by extreme heat. leaving it otherwise silvery metal blackened. When the flame blade is cast by the wielder of a melted hilt; she may use it as an optional focus. If done, the melted hilt catches fire and behaves as the flame blade, retaining any enhancement placed upon the short staff.
Additionally when using a melted hilt as a focus, when the wielder cast flame blade she may have it replicates any melee weapon she is proficient with rather than a scimitar. This does not alter the damage or critical modifier of the flame blade to match the chosen weapon, but allows it to be affected by weapon specific feats and ability and grants any special abilities the replicated weapon has, such as reach, including any limitations they may have. If the flame blade is made to take a two-handed form without reach, the damage it deals increase to 2d6. The form of the flame blade may be altered as a standard action afterward.
Prerequisites: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, flame blade.
Cost to Create: 2,250 GP, 180 EXP, 4 days.
