Fell creatures of hell, frothing beasts of the lower planes, know this! No matter what you do, you cannot stop me because I have what you can never have! COURAGE! AND! GUTS!

When you cast this spell your body is surrounded by flashy arcane sigils and runes, and often accompanied by an epic speech of one's upcoming doom. Until the end of your next turn, the caster takes 1/2 damage from any source, the damage is non-lethal (or lethal if you are immune to non-lethal damage), and no matter how far into negative hp or nonlethal damage you are, you persist and remain conscious (however it does not protect you from effects such as being transformed into ash from a disintegrate or similar abilities, or death by non-hp damage sources). You are immune to fear and mind-affecting effects, and pre-existing mind-affecting effects and negative morale penalties are also suppressed until the end of your next turn.

The next spell you cast of 6th level or lower before the end of your next turn is strengthened, applying any one of the following metamagic effects to it with no adjustments in spell level or casting time: Empower Spell, Heighten Spell (+2), Purified Energy (+2), Split Ray^CArc, or Widen Spell. You roll twice on any attack rolls or spell resistance checks and take the better.
