On Price

After much review I have determined the pricing for metamagic rods was pulled out of WotC's ass. There's no pattern. I developed almost-a-pattern based on figuring out a percentage of the WBL on a guess when the item would be introduced... it's dumb. But, for the curious, here are my numbers for other rod builders...

+0 Rod: 1000(5th)-4000(9th)-12000(12th)
+1 Rod: 3000(7th)-11000(13th)-24500(15th)
+2 Rod: 9000(12th)-32500(16th)-73000(19th)
+3 Rod: 14000(14th)-54000(18th)-121500(22nd)
+4 Rod: 35000(16th)-75500(19th)-170000(24th)
+5 Rod: 54000(18th)-110000(21st)-195000(26th)
+6 Rod: 81000(20th)-150000(23rd)-2350000(28th)

The price increase is the Greater Persist Rod is due to epic pricing tomfoolery. Feel free to divide by 10 if you, like me, ignore that rule. Or keep it, because free Persisting 9th lvl spells is really good. -- Eiji-kun 14:16, 5 May 2012 (UTC)
