[[Summary::A weapon of disaster is a jet black planar rift condensed within the edge of a [[SRD:Piercing Weapon|piercing]] or [[SRD:Slashing Weapon|slashing]] melee weapon, disintegrating its foe with a concentrated attack.]] It does +2d6 extra typeless damage on every successful hit, and can harm [[SRD:Etherealness|ethereal]] and [[SRD:Incorporeal|incorporeal]] creatures and objects as if it was a [[SRD:Force Effect|force]] effect. 

Furthermore, the wielder of a weapon of disaster can make an attack with it as a [[SRD:Standard Actions|standard action]]. If the attack hits, the weapon channels a ''[[SRD:Disintegrate|disintegrate]]'' effect (effective [[SRD:Caster Level|caster level]] equal to the wielder's [[SRD:Base Attack Bonus|base attack bonus]]). Save DC to resist the effect is 10 + ½ the wielder's [[SRD:Base Attack Bonus|base attack bonus]] + the weapon's magical enhancement bonus.

Using its disintegrate ability, a weapon of disaster can be used to destroy wards of [[SRD:Force Effect|force]] energy, such as a ''[[SRD:Wall of Force|wall of force]]''.
