Arbalester

A fighter that mastered the crossbow over all other weapons, they are capable of truly incredible feats with their trusty ranged weapon.

Class: Fighter

Level: 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 9th, 20th

Replaces: Bonus Feat (1st, 4th), Weapon Training, Weapon Mastery

Benefit: An arbalester gain the following class features:

Crossbow Specialist (Ex): A 1st level arbalester chooses a single type of crossbow she is proficient with, she gains Rapid Reload and Weapon Focus with the chosen crossbow.

This ability replaces the 1st level bonus feat.

Deadly Precision (Ex): A 4th level arblester adds her Dexterity to damage with any crossbow she has Weapon Focus in. This does not stacks with similar abilities which adds Dexterity to damage rolls. If playing in a game with the Sharpshooter feat, she gains that feat as a bonus feat. If she already has Sharpshooter she instead gains another feat that she meets the prerequisites for as a bonus feat.

This ability replaces the bonus feat gained at 4th level.

Crossbow Training (Ex): When an arbalester gains weapon training, she must select the crossbow weapon group as her chosen weapon group. She does not select any additional weapon group as she gains levels, but her Weapon Training bonus increases.

This ability alters Weapon Training.

Targeted Shot (Ex): As a standard action, a 9th level arbalester can use the targeting [1]'s deed. She must use a crossbow instead of a firearm when performing this deed. The arbalester does not need to expend grit to use this ability. If the arbalester has the Pinpoint Targeting or Vital Strike (including the improved and greater version) she may use targeted shot alongside them.

Safe Shot (Ex): At 13th level, an arbalester does not provoke attacks of opportunity when making ranged attacks with a crossbow.

Piercing Shot (Ex): At 17th level, when an arbalester makes a targeting to aim at the head or torso, she increases the critical multiplier of her crossbow by 1 (×2 becomes ×3, for example)

Master Arbalester (Ex): An arbalester increases her weapon training bonus by 2. Furthermore, she extends the range of all crossbow she wields by 50%.

This ability replaces Weapon Mastery.
