1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.
A large wooden ram with iron bracing, this is a weaponized version of the portable ram, with grips on the side for a user to wield this tremendous thing. A Strength of 13 is needed, or you take a -2 penalty on wielding the ram.
You may choose to make a free bull rush as part of a successful attack with a battle ram without provoking attacks of opportunity. You need not follow the creature pushed by the battle ram. If done at the end of a charge you get a +2 bonus on the bull rush attempt. On a critical threat, the creature also falls prone at the end of their movement.
You gain a +2 circumstance bonus on Strength checks made to break open a door and it allows a second person to help you without having to roll, increasing your bonus by 2, just like a normal portable ram. The bonus rises to +4 if done at the end of a charge.
The battle ram may be enhanced with the Impaling enhancementMIC even though it is not a piercing weapon.
