You crush a pile of beetle pincers into a fine dust and stir it with some oils. As you recite the incantation, the paste you are forming becomes a long black worm that squirms with life. When the incantation is complete, you place the worm onto your rival's spellbook and watch it absorb into the pages as if nothing had happened at all.
When the owner of the spellbook memorizes their spells using the affected spellbook, you immediately know which spells she decided to memorize for the day, including metamagic adjustments. You can choose to replace one of your memorized spells with one of the spells she memorized of the same level, even if you do not have the metamagic feats to normally cast that spell. You cannot choose a spell from one of your forbidden schools, however. If you do this, she must make a Will save or lose that spell for the day. She will be aware that she lost the spell, but not aware of why it was lost.
A spellbook can only be affected by one bookworm at a time. The most recent casting of the spell will override all other bookworms.
Bookworm can be dispelled with a Remove Curse spell.
